Very hardy plant.

Post by yuccaman »

I have a picture of a plant that could be a bamboo but they are small.Image
But im very sorry of the bad photo. My 1925 model T Ford windows were fogged up :( And I dont want people to think im nuts taking pictures of plants and at that house I would have been seen so I rush a bad photo. Here is some details. It looks like some umbrella leaves but when it gets cold they put their leaves next to their stems but survive well here. It could be a bamboo or a other subtropical or a tropical. does anyone else have these hardy plants?. About the car it does not have a defogger :( got a needle palm yesterday and year guarantee too. :) I dont like when they look like little plants (no palm look)
If I do get a trunked palm, heavy protection. Un trunked needle palm might not need more than mulch. Planting it in april 28.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

I think the plant you looked at is bamboo. If it really is they will see canes only 8 feet high. I dont want my needle palm to trunk. They wont survive with one :( I will bring in a picture. We had a bad heatwave with temps last summer 38C! in 1941 are record temp was 41C Bamboo plants would not even take that! coldest ever -39C On the Canada's weather network. Desert zone your record temps will be 2 times hotter than 41C. We have a very Bad climate for growing palms :( I like that plant it makes trenton look tropical :)
