Washingtonia Robusta

Banana Flowering

Banana seeds

Well I've germinated lots of banana seeds in the past,but they didn't look like these,the leaf would like a banana leaf,just a little smaller,but not like a palm strap leaf,no name came with these seeds,other than what was on the package I sent to you,but they didn't look like any palm seed I've see...

Steve,congrats!

Mine our about 6 inches single leaf,I believe they look like palm seedlings instead of bananas.
Very slow at growing,I hope you have better luck than me.

You bet! Some of these seeds were as big as pecans,so it might take some time,been almost 3 months and nothing yet! Yes ,I still have the coconuts,all 3 are doing fine. There was a couple nights it got to 42* in the greenhouse,and I'll bet it was colder down on the floor,but there right next to some of the Xmas palms and there are just fine! Yours are looking great,spiderwebs have done some damage on mine but I think the floor was been to cold,and the soil isn't drying out fast enough,and I think rot root might have started,altho I see new green spear coming up!

Had some tall bamboo get broke in half,had icing but it melted the next day,no power loss,did you lose any plants in the greenhouse?
