$$$$Plexiglass,glad you have it already,cost a fortune to but the stuff anymore.
I also have a couple 55 gallon plastic drums,I think I will cut in half and remove the bottoms out and cover with clear plastic and rope around it to hold the plastic on.

Yes it is staying in the ground,going to cover it up with some straw and plastic.
Ray Sharon has left his in the ground over at the church for at least 5 yrs,and it comes back with a flush every year.

Well I was hoping to get to the new Hongs,they have put up a couple new huge greenhouse across the street from there previous location!
Maybe they went all out and ordered new palms as well!
But they are just expensive as nature's way or more!

I don't think I could do that,I used just a sheet of plastic over mine,and never even lost one leaf.
I'd brother take the chance and see if it can manage on it's own,and if it loses a leaf,so be it.but then if you have a nice easy winter,you cut the fronds for nothing!!!
