Good point, Tavi.
The more successful we are in protecting our palms, the tougher it's gonna get as they grow.

I'm already worried about next year.

Yup, Tavi, it's gonna be brutal this week.
I miss our mild and sunny October already.

Great work as always Beny. Nice looking palms, very healthy. The winter that I used pink insulation inside my plastic "tent" I had a lot of mold/fungus on the fronds, but it blew off in the wind. Haven't used any since because I added more C-9s. I now cover the entire "tent" of 6...

Incredibly beautiful Jim, especially that tenacious seedling coming through the stump.

Ah...big mamas.
Reminds me I still haven't planted mine.
IMO rostratas are at the top of the beauty list.

I would've guessed CIDP making it over the Trithrinax, but hey you proved otherwise.

The Waggies will be nothing short of stunning this time next year.

Sad that the Sagos died, but Sabals are among your favorite anyway. My 2 sagos, that go inside in winter, always suffer in summer u...

This is probably crazy, but we'll install the palm hut nevertheless. It's all I've got for this year. Because of its sloping roof, I'm hoping to GENTLY bungee cord the vertical spears and fronds on an angle to the highest part of the ceiling. Andy, the photo doesn't do the Sapphire Skies justice. Getting Ready for Winter

Sorry I've been AWOL so long. Really busy summer. Hope everyone's well. Had to relearn photo embedding:  2 Washy filiferas with 6ml vapor barrier skin over steel fence posts. Old Solar pool blanket wrap next. The yucca rostrata sure grew this year. <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/so...

fig trees took a hit. They died back to the ground, never ever covered or overwintered them in 13 years
