Some Recent Pictures

I have finally gotten around to potting up many of my palms and other plants and thought I would share some of them. Most are not exactly cold hardy but don't experiance much warmth either. Yesterday we did not even hit 70 degrees. Rhopalostylis baueri: I hope it does okay during the winter. <a href...

You have to be carful with the aphids as they seem to love Echeveria and can turn nice plants into ugly plants in little time. The hummingbirds also love these things.

As for the Zamia I would try pot planting it in the ground considering you have soil that drains well then bringing it inside for the winter. We hit 93 in late March but were down to 33 two nights ago. We also got a lot of rain this season. No palms drowned fortunately. I'm hoping the night time temps will keep rising. Even in summer it normally dips into the 50's at night. <a href='http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForec...

Erik, Succulents are super easy to grow. There are many differnent varieties and most are easy to propagate, so it is no necessary to know what they are to grow them. As for the cold hardiness of the Kings they should take upper 20's ok as the parent palms are growing in full sun now with no protect...

I think excess moisture and prolonged cool temperatures would be more problamatic than the ultimate low. I know it can get quite cold in Arizona where these grow. It will warm up quickly after a dip in temperature and then be sunny and dry in Arizona.

Keep the Plumeria on the dry side especially if it drops its leaves and it is cool. They are prone to rotting if it is too wet when they are dormant.
