Re: Hooray it's spring again! How was everybody's winter?

We have had the coldest winter here in the last 12 to 15 years. It was also the duration of cold Ex: -19.5c overnight and highs of -9c for a week in a row and having 4 cold snaps similar to this. If I had not heated palm huts during these periods all of my palms and yuccas would be toast. They look ...

Hi Jim. The enclosures are attached to posts I have driven into the ground. The Plastic is stapled to 2"X2" wood frame. I`m glad we don`t get 45mph winds here during winter. Thanks for your comments

Update on palms winter 2016. I Can`t believe it`s been 9 years since they have been planted. I still remember most people telling me I was throwing my money away by planting palm trees here. Surviving palms

Hi Ivon. Very nice photos. Good to see how well they have done over the last 3 years. Do you have photos of your winter protection over them and what you use for heating? Where did you get the Jubea`s from? They are very rare to find here and expensive!

Cuja don`t touch those S. minor roots. Sabal minor will find the new soil on it`s own! Plant in a tall pot rather than a shallow pot. My 2 cents worth.
