Barb, it sounds to me like you have done everything correctly. The only thing I would recommend now would be a root drench with an all-purpose fungicide. Daconil is best if you can find it. Home Depot still carries it here.

Barb, from my experience and from listening to others who are growing this species, Cy. debaoensis is highly adaptable when it comes to soil and fertilizer. You should not have to use any special products or techniques to get them to grow well.

That is a very nice plant, Steve. I would recommend cutting off all of the leaves to reduce transplant stress. Try not to keep it too wet.
