Hey, I bought two from Aroidia Research their prices are here: http://www.aroidia.com/airpots/ I have had a few people recommend two other companies; RootMaker, and Better Roots. All three companies have a "bag" system that they recommend for in-ground use. They should work good for palms....

From what I have researched you need temperature fluxuations. Thats the major key. This sprouted when I was having daytime highs of 80F-85F and lows of 47F-53F for about 2 weeks. Here are a couple links you may want to look at: http://www.bioversityinternational.org/publications/Web_version/52/ch34....

I was wondering if anyone recommends treating palms as a preventative measure with a copper fungicide? This goes for both indoor and outdoor palms.

Has anyone tried, or have info on Trachycarpus nanus, Trachycarpus takil, and Trachycarpus wagnerianus?
I am looking to ad a few more palms to my yard. I don't care about covering them up once it gets below zero,
but I am getting tired of having to dig up most of my yard every fall and spring.

The one to the lower far right looks like an alocasia 'hilo' and the stem of the big
guy in front looks like my alocasia 'sarian'. I won't even guess at the rest, lol.
