Cold Hardy palms from Montreal
Shared shipping of palms from montreal palms
I'm looking to bring a couple large hard to Find palms in to SouthernOntario. Obviously shipping from Monteal is pricey for one or two items. Is anyone else looking to get palms or anything from Mike in Montreal? Let me know ASAP Thx

bananieru Ya, they are closed sundays, I almost made that mistake. Anyways, Rice Road has everything, most other places have queens and less hardy palms but this is the only place I have found true hardies. I would love a 10 foot but I dont have a grand to spend on a palm, however, would be worth it...

LARGER TRACHY F'S LOCATED IN ONTARIO, ANYONE INTERESTED?
Ok, I have located larger (5 foot +) trachys here in ontario...they are actually in B.C but Rice Road greenhouses are willing to bring some in, they want to know what ppl are looking for and they will bring them in...I suggested the larger Trachy F's and larger Musa Basjoo and maybe Date Palms, but ...

I called them and spoke to Musa...I bought my large washy there, its still doing great, I keep it in the high school greenhouse and it thrives...he told me it was 350 bucks, and only 4.5 feet tall...I assume you have seen the one he is talking about? Is it nice? This winter did seem harsh or maybe j...

Hello All, Been gone for a while, but I have been keeping up on everyones posts. Anyways, my search for a large trachy fortunei continues, does anyone have a line on where within Canada I could source these? I can get some nice ones from the southern U.S but I am not sure about getting them over the...

My planted trachys have slowed but are still opening fans and pushing spears...i hope they slow down cause I don't want to have to build larger enclosures. I already have rope lights on them all and some burlap to break the cold winds. By the way, just talked to my friend in vegas, those poor people...

I was just in las vegas...there are several trachys planted all the way up the strip...I got to examine one up close infront of the belagio and it looked ragged and burned...these trees were between 6 and 10 feet tall and planted under huge canary island palms. From what I saw all over Vegas, the tr...

ok, I hate to be the party pooper but I think its rude of our friends in the west to be hogging all the warm sunny weather. Here in Ontario, we have had rain 92 percent of the days since summer started. Basically it rains everyday for a little while. Today was sunny all day till about 6pm then withi...

Great pics, your collection is similar to mine. I notice you have a beautiful queen there. I have one very similar, just a suggestion, I put mine in a larger pot last year and it has exploded. Maybe try a larger pot. Just my 2 cents, but everything looks great. I have 10 adonidia seedlings that I th...

It figures it just a blade of grass...oh well, I ll let it grow. No harm. Its easy to grow a foxtail here, as soon as it snows in the end of august, we build a tall narrow igloo which protects it till the snow is gone in June.
